Clogged Toilets: If your toilet won't flush properly, please locate a plunger and try to push the blockage through the pipes. Be careful not to flush your toilet while doing this or you could cause the basin to overflow.
Drains: If your drains are draining slowly or not working altogether, you can purchase a drain cleaning tool from most hardware stores. Please be cautious of using caustic chemicals to clean the drains, as these could cause serious damage to the system.
If you lose electrical power in your property, call your utility provider to determine what is causing the issue. There may be gridwide outages in your area or there could be a problem with your account.
Circuit Breakers
If you trip your circuit breaker by overloading the electrical system, you'll need to reset it to restore access to your power. Locate your breaker and flip it to the ON position.
Don't have hot water in your rental? Check the settings on your water heater to make certain nothing has been accidentally changed. If you make any updates, wait 15 to 20 minutes before testing the water temperature to see if the changes have taken effect.
If your furnace or air conditioning isn't working properly, you can troubleshoot the problem by checking your central thermostat. Are all of the settings correct? Is the system on?
